Advocate

Your voice matters and is the key to making real change happen. You can help influence decisions that impact at-risk families and children in our community.

We cannot do it alone, so we work together with business and community leaders, local government — AND YOU.

Volunteer

Volunteer your time and talent!

One of the most satisfying and productive ways to unite our community is through volunteerism.

Take part in creating long-lasting, positive change in our communities through the wide range of volunteer opportunities we have to offer. We are a stronger community when everyone has the means to succeed in school, work, and life. Please consider volunteering your time today.

Volunteer hub is a digital tool for registering volunteers and notifying them when events, opportunities, or emergencies occur, such as:
  • Crisis Response Activities
  • Call Center assistance (training provided)
  • Administrative help
  • Events sponsored by or benefiting UWNA – Holiday Craft Fair and Holiday Lights Celebration, for example
  • Community Investment Teams – review program applications for grant recommendations
We are so grateful to our UWNA volunteers and understand their time is valuable. That’s why we’ve invested in VolunteerHub; to streamline the process, make it easy to volunteer and keep everyone informed and up-to-date.

Simply visit the site and register. You’ll create an account with your information and specify the type of work that interests you. In just a few minutes you’ll be registered.

Yes! We are asking that all past volunteers create an account on VolunteerHub. This will ensure that we have the most current information for you and confirm that you are still interested in being a volunteer.

Yes! There are places for you to note any special skills or licenses (contractor, counselor, nurse, physician, social worker) you might have. There’s also a spot to note any equipment you could make available (things like trucks or backhoes).

You can always “opt-out” of notifications from VolunteerHub if you are unable to volunteer for a period of time. Then, when you are able to volunteer again, you won’t need to re-register; just opt back in. Additionally, you can modify any of your registration information at your convenience.

Just email us with your questions and your phone number and we’ll give you a call.
